It took me a moment to remember what it was we
actually did yesterday. I have been struggling along today and I’ll explain why
later in the post. Anyway, yesterday we went to the Tower of London. It was
incredibly interesting and I believe that was due to the great guidance and
information we were given by Katie and Andrew who were in charge of guiding us.
I can only hope Kaitlyn and I will do Windsor Castle as much justice on
Thursday. Which I just remembered is going to be 4th of July. Man,
that is going to be strange…I’ll miss the fireworks L.
Anyway, it was quite a bit of walking, which was strenuous, but I tried my
best. I don’t remember what else we might have done yesterday other than go
back to the dorm and do work and hang around. Lot's of pictures below before I continue the post.
Our Tour Guides
I just keep getting closer to the London Bridge. And no. Were were there for a long time, mom, and it still didn't go up.
Sir Walter Raleigh's study
A few of us also went to King's Cross Station. Anyone remember why that is special? You better.
This is a hotel. A HOTEL. IT WAS HUGE. It was on the way to the station.
We went out and got some drinks at a bar nearby. Despite my scratchy throat that I recently have gotten and the nauseous feeling that accompanied it, I still went ahead and drank. It was mostly fine, but I’ve decided that Kopparberg somehow gets to me. It’s just a very fruity Cider. I mean, granted I drank half a pitcher of Pimm’s as well, but I don’t know.
Either way, I woke up this morning feeling downright
sick. No, not a hangover. An actual something. I woke up feeling feverish and I
have been cold with chills all day. It didn’t help that today was colder than
any other day we’ve had thus far. My foot decided to take a turn for the worse.
I’m actually starting to think something is just out because of how the pain
keeps changing from day to day. Today it was on the outside of my foot and
bothering my tendons as well so it was a nightmare. We had an early morning so
we could get to Southwark Cathedral.
I had a lemon cake for breakfast which was alright.
After touring the Cathedral where I had to keep sitting down because I was THAT
sickly and in pain, we got lunch at Eat. It was not tasty AT ALL. I never want
to go there again, but the shape of one of my chicken was fun. It looked a
little bit like Guyana, South America. After that we went to the Globe
Exhibition and I got more souvenirs.
I am now sitting on my bed, which I have relocated
my computer to because I can’t stand sitting in a chair any longer from
discomfort. After dinner, I came back here to feel TERRIBLE. I swear it wasn’t
from the whiskey I drank to try and burn away the scratchy throat. My neck
aches, my back hurts, my feet are sore, and I just feel so sick for reasons I
don’t even know. Maybe allergies, maybe a cold. I’m starting to cough because
of my throat and I also have a little bit of a runny nose every now and then.
The girls picked up medicine when they went to the grocery store. It had my
symptoms on it when I took it but it tasted like I was drinking down Vicks. Ew,
right? I really want to go home right now, I feel that bad. I can’t walk and I feel
sick. If I start throwing up, I’m going to be the most miserable person. I
tried so hard to stay strong and try to keep up with all the walking and
touring and everything, but its getting a lot harder. It’s like my body is
slowly shutting down on me. I’m also destroying my other foot by having all my
weight on it.
Its nice though, they cleaned our rooms here at the
dorms. My new bed padding is fluffier and I got a new towel without gross
stains all over it from I don’t know what. My hope is that I’ll feel better
tomorrow and be able to feel great.
