London Day 9

That moment when you cough so hard you think you ruptured your tummy. >_< Ick. Like I just said, I’ve started coughing to go along with my scratchy throat as well as coughing nastiness up and leaking from my nose. But that’s probably a good thing because the sooner I get rid of it, the better I’ll feel right? I’ll go with yes.

Anyway, today we went to Hampton Court Palace. It was very prettiful and I liked it a lot. If I ever come back to London and I am walking normal, I would love to go back and explore more than we did.

So today after that I went to the hospital for a few hours. After seeing the doctor and getting x-rays the decision is that nothing is broken or fractured. But I have a badly sprained ankle which can take 6 weeks to heal and that I should keep doing what I’m doing.

Which is just wear sneakers, walk around, rest a lot, take breaks when walking around, and take ibuprofen. No wrapping it…no higher medication doses…

I’ll admit I was kind of surprised they didn’t at least wrap it. I mean…maybe it’s just an American thing that for almost every injury you at least wrap it. Idk. We’re going to stop by a pharmacy and get some stronger pain meds, yet I wonder how well that will do in combination with the syrup I am taking for the cold/allergies I have (b/c I don’t know which it is). I do have to say that people in the ER sure do make you feel better about what you have. We had one guy throwing up in a corner, a man escorted out by security, and a woman who was concerned about getting back home before the underground closes after her husband fell through the gap in the tubes and has his skin flapping around. Yeah…ew…

Either way I’m so tired I think I’m going to crash early tonight. I barely slept last night b/c my phone decided to play games with me. It turned off and turned back on at least 5 times last night and when it does that it vibrates. The best part was when it froze 15 minutes before my alarm went off and I HAPPEN to get up and restart it just so FOUR minutes later it can ring for me.

-_-; This phone that doesn’t even get wi-fi where there is wi-fi…we need to have a heart to heart chat, my phone and I. So, due to my headache created by the dripping of my nose I shall end here for tonight.

Wish me and Kaitlyn luck as we be tour guides for Windsor Castle tomorrow.

  1. Good luck on your tours! Sounds like you're having a really rough time, so hopefully the presentation will help get your mind off it? Wishful thinking probably...

Maybe you should buy a watch with an alarm or something while you're there >_>
